started a new blog~
to write on da 25th of july onwards..

a brand new beginning is coming up!
the starting of sch..
mixed feelings.. =x

but now,
i am looking forward to the end of work!
tml is my last day!
gotta go buy presents later with sophie..
den rush to meet laogong..

not going for hall camp animore..
realised i've no time..
sat shall spend some quality time with laogong..

gx told me tt hall 5 is funny..
the room is like a fish tank..

it's circular, with luo di chuang..
so like we are on display..

cfm alot of things to do..

and tues is my mom's bdae!

it's been a week~

received a call last sun~
tt there's place for the HSS FOC'05..
decided on the spot tt i shall go..
initially there's no place de..
went home to pack..
and set off for camp!
from the 4th to 6th July..

camp!
made mani new friends..
discovered suhui's also taking psychology..
had plenty of fun~
haha..
but quite pathetically..
we only have 5 guys in the camp!

coz econs was pioneer for HSS last yr..
this yr the rest of the subjects all pioneer also..

highlight of the camp..
it's at changi chalet!!!
and its a chalet each for each grp somemore..
osiris slept together in one room..
haha..
-so bonded together!-

spent the first day in ntu itself..
den had chartered bus to fetch us to changi chalet..
before proceeding for nite games..
the games are mostly dirty for the first day..
dirty = flour, chilli, ketcup, soy sauce etc..
but nonetheless, it was fun!

for all 2 nites,
we slept at 3 am..
haha..
coz there's onli 2 toilets..
and 18 of us got to queue for each..
and woke up at 8 or 8.30...

games was mostly organised at the changi beach..
and it was fun fun and more fun!
but also sweat and sticky~
haha..

shared cab home with wanting on the last day of camp..
went home to bath..
and slept till thurs aftn!
haha..

thurs went back office to take timesheet..
and submitted my timesheet for june..
and got my paycheck for may!
haha..
overdue bah~
its coz i lazy to go collect my paycheck..
waste my transport fee!
met dear in the evening..
go ssdc with him..
he took the theory trial test..

fri went for medical checkup!
and i got wat i wanted..
to be alone shopping..
and no one was hurrying me etc!
but i got sick of it..

i went lib to read harry potter..
met dear when he book out..
we went seoul garden!
haha..
but we din really eat much..

sat taught tuition in the morn..
den met dear..
calculated my uni budget..
factored in all my cost...
food...
transport...
savings...
haha..
v kua zhang rite?
i've always tot..
take pocket money where need to plan one?!
apparently tt's not the case now!
hehe..

went swimming in the evening!!!
finished 24 laps..
it's been a loooong time since i last swam..
the evening ended off with dinner with dear and his mom..

all in all,
i rested well for the week~
excluding the camp days tt is..
so i am all refreshed for the last week at work!

and i have decided...
tt.....
for the money i earn this week~
they will all go to ---> my shopping funds!
to reward myself..
hehe..
shld have stopped work by now..

decided on the laptop i wan..
dear saw a toshiba one..
small and light..
but beyond my budget..
and white..
so i scared easily dirty..
in the end decided on acer 3000 series..
3001..
differs from 3002 but a lil..
but by 500 bucks~
haha...
budget budget budget..
shall buy the cheaper one..

can't wait to enter uni!
like so exciting..
and like so slack..
haha..
my senior from HSS camp said..
last yr she was onli 4 day week~
this yr she having 5 day week..
but...
for 3 days,
only 1 hr lessons!
so shuang!
looking forward...

also can't wait to deco my hostel..
hehe..
plenty of things to buy..

going xy hse this sat!

and marina bay on sun with sis, cousins and dear..

the last day..

nop..
that's not the last day of work..
its the last day of GTM for me!!!
and i no longer need to go back to ritz carlton..
:'(
hope the next time i step into the hotel,
it will be as nice as this time!

tt's on fri..
not today,
which is sunday..
i woke up late on fri..
:'(
and so the rush to get to ritz carlton,
resulted in me spending ~~20 bucks~~ on the cab fare!!!

the uncle on the cab told me..
xiaomei,
yao ji de.. [must remember]
morning..
ERP $3.50
peak hr $1
normal starting fees $2.40
and i think got more..
it costs me immediately $9.40 to board the cab to city!!!

shld have long known tt it's bo hua to take cab in the morning..
tt's the first,
and definitely the last time i do that!

tini was in the office on fri..
so i was basically alone with ms angie..
so many cartons of samples was sent to the different offices!
and its pple sending back to themselves!
the day ended quite uneventfully actually..
just tt at the end of everything,
ms angie brought me to the greenhouse for dinner buffet..
constance treated us..
she's the sale's manager of ritz carlton..
she's really sweet!!!
so ms angie and her chatted while i listen..
constance took hospitality as a diploma..
tt's wat i wld have taken if i haven gone into AJ~
haha..

after listening to the conversations..
i feel like working in the hotel!!!
reasons..
1) ladies must dress up daily!!!
2) the environment is so happening!
3) to hear guests saying ur svcs is good, gives a really good feeling..
4) just felt tt i like those dynamic environment..
hehe..
but still...
i kind of prefer psychology!

went home at 10..
took cab --- again..
luckily this can be claimed..

dear came dwn my hse from camp..
got caught for long hair!!!
haha..
let's go alan there cut hair shall we?
i wanna treatment my hair..
:P

dear is one really strange guy..
he's fast finishing learning his subjects for practical..
but he has yet to pass his final theory!!!
so it may come to a pt tt he passed all his practical,
but cannot take his practical test coz no FTT..
haha..
dear must jiayou orh!!!

makes me feel like learning driving so much..

but its not time yet..
i dunno my time table in sch..
how to schedule all the timings for practical lessons?!
be patient jiawen..

hahas..

yesterday...
i was dead tired!
woke up at 730 i think..
went dwn beiyi's hse..
gave tuition to alvin and michelle..
when i finish tuition,
took lunch in their hse..
decided to take a small nap,
which lasted till 6 in the evening..

from wat i know,
me eileen mich and alvin all slept..

den went for dinner at a coffee shop..

decided to treat my sis to initial D some days back..
so brought all of them to northpt GV..
to watch the show..
since i have never watched the anime,
nor read the comics,
i found the show alrite..
as in,
nothing special,
but my sis was like asking me to persuade dear to become a racer..

sometimes...
i simply wish......
i am just like xiaoyi..
not her as in totally her..
as in her attitude i want to remember her for..
but not necessarily 'her' now..

remembered once..
i wanted to buy a watch for dear..
for valentine's day i think..
i din dare to go into city chain..
coz i was wearing sch u..
with sch bags and textbooks..
yes..
i am not kidding..
and protraying the --> i am not rich look..
and u peeps noe those sales assistant..
i guess it was a case of insecureness..
LOL~
den i remembered bout xyz..
her heckcare attitude bout how pple think..
why shld we bother bout how pple look at us..
simply love tt..
and i walked in..
hecked those sales assistants following me arnd..
until i found the watch i wanted..
it was a GUESS watch..
plain and simple..
nice..
then i asked for help..
shiok feeling~
ultimate thing is..
BE CONFIDENT, BE URSELF..

the other thing which pretty much amazes me..
was the fact tt she enjoys shopping alone..
i used to think tt i cannot do tt..
it wld be too lonely..
but i guess she's not the only one who enjoys it..
and i am learning to appreciate it too..

just give me some moment of solitude..
w/o work.
w/o commitments.
w/o pple breathing dwn my neck.
i wan to be able to go shopping on my own..
and buy things i like..
without having to worry tt i need to rush off somewhere at wat time..

dear always like to tell me..

so dun think tt the world is perfect..

in army u are too garang [pia]..
pple say u trying to suck up to OC or watsoever..
but if u too slack [nua]..
pple say u chao geng, lazy...

if pple got money..
they spend too much [$$]

hoping one day they will bankrupt..
den see wat they will do..
if pple got money..
but dun spend..
pple say they stingy..

dun act humble la..
dun wan the money can give us..

these are not craps..
ask urself if u have tot these ways before..
be frank with urself..
the world can be much better..

so ultimate point..
DO THE RIGHT THINGS THAT IS THE BEST FOR URSELF..

of course must strike a balance..

dunno how to describe..

tues:
tini and i just sat outside the meeting rm..
talking and chatting..
ok.. they are the same thing..
nothing to do..
helped out in somethings..
drooled at the models who came for the fashion shows..
hahas~
a lil exaggerated..

there's this guy..
alvin ng..
heard from ms angie's he's mediacorp new upcoming star..
i took a photo with him on my hp..
after much pushing by ms angie..
oh man..
tt's so ~~embarrassing~~ la~
i dun even know who he is..
but i got to admit tt he is v photogenic..
and very shuai [handsome]..
and i got his autograph as well..

from wat i heard from ms angie..
he's from NUS FASS..
yanting, sue anne, meimei..
look out for him!
but this yr is his final yr..
he's taking el lit..

after tt was lunch..
the buffet lunch at the greenhouse..
was alrite i guess..
no offence to ritz carlton food though..
its just tt i may not be suited to the high class food..
many said the food was delicious..

actually there was nothing much..
tini and i just sat there and chatted..
and i read a lil of harry potter..

the nice part of the day..
was entering the toilet..
and finding out tt its great..

there's a couch in there!
and the sink has got soup, tissue papers and hand towels..
nice nice..
ok..
mabbe it's just tt i am shua gu..

dinner was at malay heritage centre..
learnt some instruments of the malay culture..
their culture..
the malay wedding customs..
very interesting and informative!
and the pretend malay bride is v pretty..
heard from tini she's a celebrity from channel suria..
vvv pretty..
the only regret i have when we left tt nite was..
i dun have any close malay friends..
so i wun be able to attend a real malay wedding..
coz i will not be invited to any..

took cab home from ritz carlton..

the service at ritz carlton was fab..
they went dwn the taxi queue if anyone need to call for a cab urgently..
and took mints for us to eat!

community service at pasir ris park~
and no...
its not pick rubbish at the beach kaes..
its going into the mangrove areas..
muddy..
sticky..
but me tini lawris and ms angie,
we distributed water..
it was a really dirty affair..
but the pple who came from all over the world for the GTM,
they had fun..
and they had experience..
tt's the great part..

some interesting events b4 the start of the service event:
it was raining when we reached..
everyone was given emergency ponchos..
plastic ones..
and jeff swartz..
timberland CEO..
he's a great guy..
vvv down to earth and funny..
he was giving a speech..
and said:

though timberland has got their own core values..
humility, intergrity etc..
which does not include humilitation..
but i just got to say this..
u guys look ridiculous in the plastic bags!
[his wife was in it too.. hahas]
i mean, really ridiculous..
i din wan to say this..
but i really can't stop myself..
LOL~
but its great to be able to laugh at urself..
and while you guys are going to get all hot and muddy in the mangrove,
me and mike [the president of tbl i think]
will be happily drinking beer!
so good luck, and i am so proud of you guys..

but nop..
he din went off to have beer with mike la..
haha..
he was touring the mangrove area on the boardwalk..
he planted a tree as part of the opening ceremony~
nice CEO..
he's not no airs arnd him at all!
i walked past him like 4 - 5 times,
but not once did i feel pressurised..
hahas..
and i think his son is cute!

i think..
think he will grow up to be quite handsome..

after the end of everything,
we went back to ritz carlton..
guess wat!
i bathed in the ritz carlton hotel room!!!
it was lovely!
esp the toilet!!!
with bathtub..
gigantic mirror..
and u can enjoy the scenary when u soak in the bathtub..
i will definitely stay there..
at least for one nite..
during my honeymoon..
everything was great..

lunch was at snapples..
poolside lunch..
it was buffet style..
thought the variety wasn't as much,
but it was still lovely!
but i do remember telling tini..
i will be sick of the food if i eat those everyday..
it's too high class for me..
wonder how the rich can actually eat those for every meal!
but i enjoyed the service though..

after tt was another long chat with tini.
nothing much to do..
den we went home at 545..
literally ran off..
coz tini wans to catch a soccer match..
its at yishun stadium..
v qiao!
so we took mrt to khatib together..

i er..
when i reached home,
i changed..
and slept..
all the way to this morning..
so tired!!!
i am so much like a pig..
hahas..

today:
back in office..
GOOD!!!!

sick, no appetite n i finished 4 slices of pizza..

this is so so dumb..
i really feel like slaughtering pple..
my workplace is one hell of a mess..
and i feel so sick..
surprisingly i can finish the pizzas..
so i am full..
but the pizza went in w/o me enjoying it..
tt's just so wasted..
almost ran a fever yesterday..

woke up b/w 730 to 830 daily for the past week..
sometimes slept late as well..
all for the sake of work work n more work..
and money money and less money..
realised something's wrong when its halfway thru a course i am attending..
felt hot inside, but no fever outside..
kinda dismissed it and when i woke up on sun,
i was feeling alrite,
at least not so bad..
finished teaching edeline,
i felt as though i was burning...
tried to slp..
den received sms from ms angie..
so i went back to work..
help out with the goodie bags for GTM..
50 bucks for 3 hrs..
but my mom asked for it..
[jokingly]
gave it to her lor..
so she's 50 bucks richer..
and me 50 bucks poorer..
LOL~

after tt met dear go his hse..
by then,
headache kicked in..
fever was nearly out..

and dear made me drink 2 glasses of water @ one go..
before we went for dinner~
went with limin, shumin, dear and his parents..
to a coffeeshop resturant~
and coz of the 2 glasses of water,
i was urgently needing the toilet..
and the toilet was disgusting!!!

went home after tt..
and bathed..
and.....
after sending dear to my hse door,
[normally i send him to yewtee mrt]
i went in,
and fell aslp..
all the way till morn..
din even hear the sms tone when dear sent me a sms!
now still feeling sick..
sian..
but i cannot take leave for this week..
must jian chi dao dI!
coz my last day is this fri..
and GTM needs pple to help out!

all shoes are pretty.. BUT.....

as the title goes above..
all shoes can be pretty ---> on a sunny day,
BUT..
that's a very big BUT there..
certain shoes can be killers ---> on a rainy day!

i looked out of the window in my sis room..
i knew it is going to rain..
coz the air smelt like it..
but it hasen rained yet..
as i left home, i grabbed my baleno umbrella..
and even before i reached the lift, it started raining!

luckily i reached the mrt station before it turned into GIGANTIC raiN..
and for pple who dun live arnd khatib..
FYI~
the GIGANTIC rain in khatib,
cannot play play one hor~
its super BIG..
with wind and watsoever..
even armed with an umbrella,
also confirm plus guarentee with chop will be soaked..

but this morning the rain isn't tt bad..
oh ok..
relating back to the title,
bout shoes can be killers~
uh.. no...
i did not fall dwn..
but i did felt as though i am risking my neck..
just by wearing the shoe..
so i concluded with the fact tt..

for lunch yesterday with sophie..
bought an adidas tank top which i saw 2 weeks ago~
nice nice!
GTM next week shall be my last week in tbl..
i really dun wan to extend animore..
many things i wan to do before entering NTU officially~
but den again~
i have no obligations to anione..
hehe.. :P

GTM will be in ritz carlton!
but i guess i will only be the recept there..
dun wanna attend all the talks + meeting..
its boring~
but good experience though..
wonder if lunch's catered by the hotel..
the only thing bout it is,
i am gonna get free dinner in resturants for 2 nites..
PLUS --> ++
it's considered as OT~
so i am earning money while getting free dinner..
all for the sake of taking attendance!
BUT!
i need to do community service...
alone.. :(
